- Domestic and T20 Franchise Career: Hetmyer made his Twenty20 debut for the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the 2016 Caribbean Premier League (CPL). He became the youngest batsman to score a century in the CPL in 2018, achieving the feat at the age of 21. In December 2018, he was bought by the Royal Challengers Bangalore for the 2019 Indian Premier League (IPL). He has also played for teams like the Delhi Capitals in the IPL and the Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League. In 2022, Hetmyer captained the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the CPL.
- International Career: Hetmyer led the West Indies Under-19 team to victory in the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He made his Test debut against Pakistan in April 2017 and his One Day International (ODI) debut against New Zealand in December 2017. In February 2019, he scored the fastest century by a West Indies batsman in ODIs, achieving the milestone off 82 balls against England.
