Shubham hails from a modest background; his father, Badriprasad Dubey, owns a paan stall in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra. Growing up, Shubham developed a passion for cricket at a young age. He attended Chandrakant Pandit Cricket Academy in Andheri West, Mumbai, where he honed his cricketing skills under coach Satish Samant. He completed his schooling at Hansraj Morarji Public School in Mumbai and graduated from Rizvi College, Mumbai.
