Anant Vijay Joshi, credited as Anant V Joshi, is an Indian actor born in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, with family roots in Uttarakhand. He has worked across Hindi television, streaming series and films since 2011, and first drew wide attention playing the title role in the ALTBalaji series Virgin Bhasskar (2019–2020).
Before that he appeared in television shows including Zindagi Abhi Baaki Hai Mere Ghost (2015), Kya Qusoor Hai Amala Ka? (2017), Karn Sangini (2018) and Story 9 Months Ki (2020–2021). His film career gathered pace with Cobalt Blue (2022), and then with two 2023 releases: the satire Kathal, in which he played Constable Saurabh Dwivedi opposite Sanya Malhotra, and Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s acclaimed 12th Fail, in which he played Pritam Pandey and also served as narrator.
He plays the court manager Vishwas Pandey in the Netflix legal comedy Maamla Legal Hai, which premiered in March 2024 and returned for a second season. In 2025 he took the title role in Ajey: The Untold Story of a Yogi, a political drama inspired by Shantanu Gupta’s book on Yogi Adityanath; the film was delayed when the CBFC initially withheld certification, released on 19 September 2025 and underperformed commercially. His later work includes the fifth season of Gullak and the film One Two Cha Cha Chaa.
