Anupama Parameswaran Biography

Anupama Parameswaran was born on 18 February 1996 into a Malayali family in Irinjalakuda, in the Thrissur district of Kerala, to Parameswaran Erekkath and Sunitha. She has a younger brother, Akshay. After schooling at Don Bosco School, Irinjalakuda, she studied Communicative English at CMS College Kottayam but discontinued her course to act full time.

She made her debut in the Malayalam hit Premam (2015) opposite Nivin Pauly, then moved quickly across South Indian industries: the Telugu films A Aa (2016) and Sathamanam Bhavati (2017), the Tamil film Kodi (2016) opposite Dhanush, Jomonte Suvisheshangal (2017) in Malayalam, and Natasaarvabhowma (2019) in Kannada opposite Puneeth Rajkumar. Her performance in the Telugu version of Premam won her the IIFA Utsavam award for Best Supporting Actress — Telugu.

Later successes include Karthikeya 2 (2022) and Tillu Square (2024). In 2025 she had a busy slate across four languages: the Tamil film Dragon, the Malayalam films JSK: Janaki V v/s State of Kerala and The Pet Detective, the Telugu films Paradha and Kishkindhapuri, and the Tamil film Bison Kaalamaadan. Her 2026 work includes the Tamil drama thriller Lockdown and the Telugu mystery Mareechika.
