Career Highlights

• 2008: Was approached by director Pandiraj to play Anbukkarasu in Pasanga, but his father was not then willing to let him act, and the role went to Kishore DS.
• 2019: Made his feature debut as the title character in Adithya Varma, directed by Gireesaaya. The film began life as Bala’s Varmaa, a remake of the Telugu film Arjun Reddy, which was shelved and relaunched with Dhruv continuing in the role. He also rapped on the song “Edharkadi” from its soundtrack.
• 2020: Bala’s original version, Varmaa, was eventually released.
• 2022: Played Dadabhai “Dada” Naoroji opposite his father in Mahaan, Vikram’s 60th film, directed by Karthik Subbaraj and released directly on Amazon Prime Video. He wrote and sang the song “Missing Me” for it.
• 2022–2024: Focused mainly on music, writing, singing and directing the video for the non-film single “Manase”, composed by Ujwal Gupta, and following it with “Oru Kaayam”, “Poomadhiye”, “Need Ya” and the song “Odiyamma” from Hi Nanna.
• 2025: Returned to acting after a near-three-year break with Bison Kaalamaadan, written and directed by Mari Selvaraj, playing Kittan.
• Upcoming: Has signed an as-yet-untitled film to be directed by Ganesh K. Babu.

Dhruv Vikram – Recent Activities

Film Release:

• Bison Kaalamaadan was released worldwide on 17 October 2025, coinciding with Diwali.
• The film drew positive reviews and was a commercial success.

The Role:

• Dhruv plays a kabaddi player who fights to excel in the sport while facing caste-based discrimination.
• The story is based on the life of the kabaddi player Manathi Ganesan.

Collaboration Highlights:

• The film was jointly produced by Sameer Nair, Deepak Seigal, Pa. Ranjith and Aditi Anand under Applause Entertainment and Neelam Studios.
