Getup Srinu Biography
Boddupalli Srinu, known by his stage name Getup Srinu, is an Indian actor and stand-up comedian who works mainly in Telugu cinema and television. He was born on 12 December 1984 in Akividu, in the West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. He earned his stage name from the many “getups”, or costumed characters, he played in the ETV sketch-comedy shows Jabardasth (2013–2014) and Extra Jabardasth (2014–present).
He made his Telugu film debut with Telugabbai (2013) and was credited as “Jabardasth Srinu” for Chakkiligintha (2014). Supporting parts in Khaidi No. 150 (2017), Rangasthalam (2018), Maharshi, iSmart Shankar and Nani’s Gang Leader (all 2019) established him in mainstream Tollywood, and he took the lead in 3 Monkeys (2020) and Raju Yadav (2024).
His later work includes Zombie Reddy, Most Eligible Bachelor and Maa Oori Polimera (2021), Acharya, F3: Fun and Frustration and Liger (2022), Waltair Veerayya and Bhola Shankar (2023), Hanu-Man, Saindhav, Double iSmart and Devara: Part 1 (2024), and Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi and Mirai (2025). He has also worked in streaming series such as Oka Chinna Family Story and Maya Bazaar For Sale, and hosted Cinema Chupista Mama on ETV Plus. He is married to Sujatha.
