Pradeep Ranganathan (born 25 July 1993) is an Indian actor, film director, lyricist, producer, singer and screenwriter who works in Tamil cinema. He is known for directing Comali (2019) and Love Today (2022), making his debut as a lead actor in the latter. He is a recipient of two Tamil Nadu State Film Awards and a Filmfare Award South.

Pradeep studied at SSN College of Engineering in Chennai. He began his career making short films, including Whatsapp Kadhal (2014), multitasking as actor, editor and director. Ravi Mohan and Vels International, impressed after watching some of his short films, gave him his first feature directorial opportunity, which became Comali (2019). The film starred Kajal Aggarwal and was a commercial success; Pradeep also made a cameo appearance in its climax. Before release, the film drew controversy when Rajinikanth’s fans demanded a boycott over a flashback in the trailer referring to the actor’s 1996 statement about entering politics; the scene was subsequently removed.

His second directorial venture, Love Today (2022), was based on his short film App(a) Lock and released as a modestly budgeted film in Tamil Nadu. It became a major box-office success, grossing over ₹100 crore, and made Pradeep an overnight sensation while also serving as his full-fledged acting debut. His next two features, Dragon and Dude (both 2025), also grossed over ₹100 crore; he wrote the story for Dragon and made his playback singing debut with the song “Singari” in Dude. He produced Loveyapa (2025), the Hindi remake of Love Today. His 2026 release Love Insurance Kompany was a box-office failure, ending his success streak. He has since launched his own production house, PR Show.
