Rinku Rajguru Biography

Rinku Rajguru, born Prerana Mahadev Rajguru on 3 June 2001, is an Indian actress who works mainly in Marathi cinema, with credits in Hindi and Kannada films and on streaming platforms. She was born in the town of Akluj in Solapur district, Maharashtra, to Mahadev Rajguru and Asha Rajguru, and studied at Jai Tuljabhavani Arts and Science Junior Ashram College in Tembhurni.

She made her debut in 2016 as Archi in Nagraj Manjule’s Sairat, a performance that brought her nationwide recognition. It won her a National Film Award – Special Mention at the 63rd National Film Awards, the Best Child Artist award at the 53rd Maharashtra State Film Awards, and two Filmfare Awards Marathi in 2017, for Best Female Debut and Best Actress. She reprised the role in the Kannada remake Manasu Mallige (2017).

Rajguru went on to appear in the Marathi films Kaagar (2019) and Makeup (2020), the Hindi anthology Unpaused (2020), Netflix’s Ankahi Kahaniya (2021), ZEE5’s 200 Halla Ho (2021) and Nagraj Manjule’s Jhund (2022). She made her digital debut in the Hotstar series Hundred (2020). Jhimma 2 (2023) was a critical and commercial success and the third highest-grossing Marathi film of its year. In 2025 she starred opposite Subodh Bhave in Better Half Chi Love Story and played the title health worker Malti in Asha, released on 19 December 2025, for which she won the Maharashtra State Film Award for Best Actress at the 61st edition of the ceremony. She appeared as Kamini in Punha Ekda Sade Made Teen in 2026.
