Sree Vishnu Biography

Sree Vishnu, born Rudraraju Vishnuvardhan on 29 February 1984, is an Indian actor who works in Telugu cinema. He was born in Antarvedipalem in the East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Management (Honours) from the Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management in Visakhapatnam. While in college he was a member of the theatre group and also played for the Andhra under-19 cricket team.

Before acting he worked as a web designer in Hyderabad until 2006, when he left the job to pursue films and started out as an assistant director. He appeared in several short films, one of which, Bewars, directed by Pavan Sadineni, became popular on YouTube. His earliest screen roles were minor parts in Baanam (2009) and Solo (2011); Sadineni then cast him in the lead of Prema Ishq Kaadhal (2013), the film that gave him his breakthrough.

Supporting turns in Second Hand (2013), Appatlo Okadundevadu (2016) and Vunnadhi Okate Zindagi (2017) followed, the last of which brought him a SIIMA Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor – Telugu. He has since led a run of successful comedies, among them Mental Madhilo (2017), Brochevarevarura (2019), Raja Raja Chora (2021), Samajavaragamana (2023), Om Bheem Bush (2024) and Single (2025). He is a friend and frequent collaborator of the actor Nara Rohit.
