Sshivada Biography
Sshivada, also credited as Sshivada Nair and K. V. Srilekha Nair, is an Indian actress who appears predominantly in Malayalam and Tamil films. She was born into a Malayali family in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, to Vijayarajan Pillai and Kumari, and studied in Chennai until grade five before the family moved to Angamaly in Kerala. She was educated at Viswajyothi CMI Public School, Angamaly, and is a computer science engineering graduate of the Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering and Technology.
She began acting with a small part in the 2009 Malayalam anthology Kerala Cafe, credited as Sreelekha. While working as a television VJ she was spotted by the director Fazil, who cast her as the lead in Living Together (2011). She then auditioned for the Tamil film Nedunchaalai (2014), her breakthrough; reviewers called her a “terrific newcomer” and noted that she dubbed her own Tamil dialogue despite Malayalam being her first language.
Her quadruple role in the Tamil thriller Adhe Kangal (2017) brought her the Ananda Vikatan Cinema Award for Best Villain (Female) and a South Indian International Movie Award, and she won the Kerala Film Critics Association Award for Best Actress for Jawanum Mullapoovum (2023). She is a recipient of two SIIMA Awards. Her other credits include Lucifer (2019) and its sequel L2: Empuraan (2025), Maara (2021), 12th Man (2022), 2018 (2023), Garudan (2024) and Anand Sreebala (2024).
