Sukumar Writings is the highly successful independent film production house founded by director Sukumar in 2015 to introduce new writers, directors, and concepts into Telugu cinema, producing hits like Kumari 21F, Uppena, and Virupaksha.
Before pursuing cinema, Sukumar was a highly respected academician who worked as a Mathematics and Physics lecturer at a junior college in Kakinada for nearly seven years.
While he is a full-time director, Sukumar has made highly popular, brief cameo appearances as himself in movies like Nani's Gang Leader (2019) and Varun Tej's Gaddalakonda Ganesh (2019).
