Premise

After discovering that his sweetheart Tulika is engaged against her choice, army commando Amrit bravely decides to break up the engagement by boarding a train headed for New Delhi. But as a group of robbers with knives under the command of Fani starts to threaten the passengers on the train, Amrit and his companion Viresh fight the bandits to protect the people.

Production

Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment unveiled “Kill,” directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, less than a month before its Toronto debut. This is the first picture of their content agreement, which was first announced in May 2023. The actors trained with mixed martial arts (MMA) practitioners, according to Bhat in an interview with Subhash K. Jha. He further disclosed that the inspiration for “Kill” came from a train robbery he had personally experienced in 1995.

Release

On September 7, 2023, “Kill” had its world premiere at Midnight Madness at the Toronto International Film Festival. In India, it made its theatrical debut on July 5, 2024. In October 2023, Lionsgate bought the distribution rights for the Hindi-language film in North America and the UK, which was a significant move for a Hollywood studio.

One day before it was released in India, on July 4, 2024, the movie debuted on more than a thousand screens in North America.
