Academy Award

The Oscars, formally known as the Academy Awards, are among the highest honors given to individuals in the field of cinema and is presented every year by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS). The award was established in 1929 and is awarded for various achievements including acting, directing, and writing as well as several aspects of the technical production of film.
