Little Thomas Trailer: A Goan Boy’s Wish for a Baby Brother
The Little Thomas trailer is out, and it might be the softest thing you watch this week. Times Music dropped it on YouTube around October 1. The whole film hangs on one small boy in Goa who really, really wants a baby brother.
Ek bachcha, ek wish. That’s the pitch.
No explosions. No spy universe. Just a kid, his parents and a pile of awkward questions. After a year of loud tentpoles, honestly, that sounds like a relief.
What the Little Thomas trailer shows
Outlook India’s trailer report describes it as a warm, whimsical family story. Thomas wants a sibling, so he starts asking around. He asks his parents where babies come from. He asks the priest too. You can guess how those chats go.
The grown-ups have their own headache. His parents are struggling with money, and the trailer balances that soft family drama with playful humour. The look is retro Goa all the way.
The tagline says it best: “One little boy, one little wish.”
Little Thomas cast and crew
The lineup is small but solid:
- Hridansh Parekh as Thomas
- Gulshan Devaiah as his father
- Rasika Dugal as his mother
- Kaushal Oza writes and directs
- Producers: Anurag Kashyap, Anushka Shah, Charu Oza, Rajnikant Oza, Akshay Thakker, Kabir Ahuja and Ranjan Singh
Gulshan and Rasika as a squabbling Goan couple? We’re sold already. Both actors can make a quiet scene land, and a film like this lives or dies on quiet scenes.
The Kashyap name is the real surprise. As India TV reported, this marks his return to children’s films after Return of Hanuman, his 2007 animated film. Yes, that Anurag Kashyap.
Little Thomas story and release date
The story takes place in 1990s Goa. Thomas is an only child, and he’s convinced his parents need to kiss for a baby brother to show up. Problem is, they quarrel a lot. So Thomas makes it his personal mission to patch things up between them.
That’s a sweet, slightly cheeky setup. It could easily turn preachy, but the trailer seems happy to stay light.
The music is already doing its bit. The first song, “Do Guna Zindagi”, came out on September 24. Raghav Meattle sings it, Aditya N. and Nayantara Bhatkal composed it, and Suresh Bhatia wrote the lyrics. According to Bollywood Hungama, the team shot it in real Goa neighbourhoods: Fontainhas, Altinho, Saligao and Margao.
Little Thomas hits theatres across India on October 23, 2026.
Our take? This is a family-outing film, the kind you drag your parents and younger cousins to. If the full movie keeps the warmth of the Little Thomas trailer, it could quietly turn out to be the sweetest release of the month. Paisa Vasool Ya Time Waste? We’ll tell you on October 23.
