Dupahiya Season 3 Release Date: Confirmed Ya Sirf Hint?

Dupahiya Season 3 Release Date: Confirmed Ya Sirf Hint?
By AYC Editorial Desk 5 min read

Short answer first. As of October 17, 2026, there’s no Dupahiya Season 3 release date, and Prime Video hasn’t officially renewed the show. What we have is a hopeful hint from director Sonam Nair. A hint isn’t a renewal, though, so don’t let anyone sell it to you as one.

Season 2 landed on October 1, all eight episodes on the same day. Dhadakpur’s chaos is still fresh in everyone’s head. If you finished it and immediately googled “Season 3 kab aayega?”, same here.

So here’s where things actually stand.

Dupahiya Season 3: Kya Confirmed Hai?

Let’s split it into three buckets. Simple.

  • Confirmed: Season 2 premiered globally on Prime Video on October 1, 2026, with 8 episodes. Bhojpuri star Dinesh Lal Yadav (Nirahua) joined the returning cast, as Hollywood Reporter India reported ahead of the premiere.
  • Hinted: Sonam Nair reportedly said “We hope so” and “One hundred per cent” about more seasons. More on that below.
  • Not announced: an official renewal, a Season 3 date, a Season 3 cast or any Season 3 plot. Nothing.

So, Dupahiya kitne season hain? Two, for now. That’s 17 episodes in total: nine in Season 1 and eight in Season 2.

What Sonam Nair Actually Said About Seasons 3 and 4

Here’s the hint itself. According to NewsBytes, Nair told India Today “We hope so” and then followed it with “One hundred per cent.” NewsBytes read those lines as a hint at Seasons 3 and 4.

She also reportedly talked about the nerves before Season 1 came out. And she said, “we know what our fans want.”

A quick honesty note from our side. We couldn’t track down the original India Today interview, and the NewsBytes pages wouldn’t open for us. So treat these quotes as secondhand.

Our read? It’s a director who clearly wants to keep going. That’s great news for fans. But until Prime Video makes an announcement, it’s still just a wish.

Dupahiya Season 3 Release Date: What We Can (and Can’t) Say

We can’t give you a date. Nobody honestly can right now.

What we can give you is the last time this happened. Here’s how the jump from Season 1 to Season 2 played out:

  • 7 March 2025: Season 1 premieres on Prime Video, all nine episodes at once.
  • 28 March 2025: IANS reports that Season 2 is “now in development.” No release date yet.
  • 20 September 2026: the Season 2 trailer press release goes out.
  • 1 October 2026: Season 2 premieres.

Timeline from Dupahiya Season 1 to Season 2, ending with a question mark for the Season 3 release date

Read that again. Three weeks from launch to announcement. Then roughly 19 months between the two premieres.

If Prime Video repeats that rhythm, renewal news could arrive fast while the episodes take much longer. That’s a pattern, not a promise. Streamers don’t copy old schedules just because fans want them to.

So if someone slaps a confident Dupahiya Season 3 release date on a thumbnail right now, they’re guessing.

What Season 2 Left Open

Spoiler-light zone. We’re sticking to the setup Prime Video itself describes, not the finale.

According to the official Prime Video synopsis, the season juggles a few big messes:

  • Banwari’s barren land becomes the site for a mobile tower. The villagers then blame the tower for everything, from illness to natural disasters.
  • Roshni preps for a major SSC exam with Amavas. His shortcuts, predictably, come with complications.
  • Inspector Mithlesh suspects a cheating scam tied to that exam.
  • The whole thing builds toward exam day.

Which of these threads spills into a third season? No source has said. We won’t make up a cliffhanger to fill the gap.

Dupahiya Season 3 Cast: Who Could Return

Zero official casting news so far. If the show comes back, these are the faces you’d expect, since they all appeared in Season 2:

  • Gajraj Rao as Banwari Jha
  • Renuka Shahane as Pushplata Yadav
  • Sparsh Shrivastava as Bhugol Jha
  • Bhuvan Arora as Amavas
  • Shivani Raghuvanshi as Roshni Jha
  • Yashpal Sharma as Mithlesh Kushwaha
  • Dinesh Lal Yadav (Nirahua) as Pratham Kumar Sir, the Season 2 newcomer

Behind the camera, Sonam Nair directs. Avinash Dwivedi and Chirag Garg created and wrote the show. Salona Bains Joshi and Shubh Shivdasani produce it through Bombay Film Cartel LLP.

Label all of this “expected if it happens.” Not confirmed.

Paisa Vasool Ya Time Waste? Should You Catch Up Before Season 3?

Here’s the good part about having no Dupahiya Season 3 release date. There’s nothing to race against.

Seventeen episodes is a pretty easy catch-up. You get Gajraj Rao and Renuka Shahane leading a small-town ensemble, and Season 2 throws Nirahua into the mix. If village comedy with heart is your thing, it’s an easy yes from us.

We’ll update this page the moment Prime Video says something official. Till then, trust the platform, not the hype. And which Dhadakpur mess do you think deserves its own season, the tower or the exam?
